Candidacy Eligibility & Requirements
These are the Candidacy Eligibility & Requirements for anyone who is interesting in pledging candidacy for BAP: Nu Sigma Chapter.
Candidacy Eligibility

Eligibility
Student must have completed 3 semesters at FDU (EX: For a freshman, Entire Freshman Year and taking part in Fall Semester of Sophomore Year.) OR 1 1/2 Years of University/College (For Transfer Students)

Course Requirements
Student must have completed one of their major core class, beyond the business core classes.

For Accounting Majors, you must be currently taking in the semester you are becoming a candidate or already had completed either Intermediate Financial Accounting I (ACCT_3241) or Cost Accounting: Measuring & Control (ACCT_3243)

For Finance Majors, you must be currently taking in the semester you are becoming a candidate or already had completed Intermediate Financial Analysis (FIN_3310)

Majors Eligibility
Student must declare a major in either Accounting, Finance, or MIS (Note: Student can also minor in either one of the three listed above and still be eligible.)

GPA Requirement

Student must have an OVERALL GPA of 3.2 or higher.

For Graduate Students, you must have an OVERALL GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Application & Dues
Candidate must fill out the Candidacy Application (You can find a pdf version on our website or ask either an E-Board member or an Advisor for it) and send it to our email before the application deadline. Student must also pay a $100 Application Fee ($75 One-Time Membership Fee + $25 Annual Fee). You can either Venmo Dr. Collier (Preferred) or write a check (Anyone who wants to write a check out, please see an e-board member).

Attendance Requirement
Candidate is required to attend the following:

10 Professional Meetings (You can attend them in-person or via Zoom. If by any chance you cannot make it to any meeting because of internship/work, classes, family emergency, and/or student athlete obligations, you must email us 24 hours in advance to let us know. All of our meeting recordings will be uploading to not only our website, but on our YouTube Channel. You will then be required to write 1 full page on what you watch and email it to us for your attendance.)

Participate in Community Service Event

Must Attend Induction Meeting IN-PERSON!

Tutoring Requirement
Candidate must complete:

4 hours of tutoring per Semester
OR
-
8 hours of tutoring in Academic Year.
